Mission Statement:

Our mission is to provide a secure learning environment that nurtures the physical and spiritual needs of each child in our care.

Services:

Little Blessings is open throughout the year, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM until 6:30 PM. Little Blessings Child Care will serve families with children 6 weeks through 4 years of age. Also, we will provide afterschool care for children 4-12 twelve years of age. Afterschool care is from 3 PM until 6:30 PM.

Little Blessings will be closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day – January 1; Independence Day – July 4; Thanksgiving Day and the day after; and Christmas – December 25. Further, in the event of inclement weather, if the Decatur County Board of Education closes the public schools, then Little Blessings will also be closed.

Open door policy:

Little Blessings Child Care has an open door policy. Parents are always welcome to visit with your children and are encouraged to be participants in classrooms.

Video Surveillance:

In order to provide the best security for our children, the premises of Little Blessings Child Care are under video surveillance provided by ADT.

Transportation:

We will not be providing transportation to or from Little Blessings Child Care for any reason.

Discipline policy for children:

Little Blessings Child Care uses the Time-Out method for discipline. When a toddler aged child is corrected twice for the same offence the child is required to sit in a specific place for one minute for each year of age. The younger child or infant will be removed or distracted in the case of needed discipline or conflict around another child. No child will ever be humiliated or frightened, nor will food, naps, or toileting be used as forms of discipline. Physical discipline is never used. Loving words and actions are always used with the children, even in disciplining.
